Finding Products
There are several ways to find products on this website.
1. Click on one of the blue Categories in the 'Departments' menu on the left of the page and it will take you to a page displaying a list of sub-categories, again click on these sub-categories until you reach the product type you are looking for - when you click on a product in a product list the relevant page will appear, and your current location on the site will be shown in red text near the top of the page.
2. You can Search for Products using keywords, with the 'Search Here' box on the top left side of the page. Type any words like "digital camera" or "binoculars" .The search results will show Categories and Products that match your search keywords.
Adding to your Shopping Basket
To add items to the Shopping Basket, simply click the green 'Add to Basket' button on each main product page.
You can select/modify the quantity of the product you'd like to order either before you 'Add To Basket' or afterwards, once the product(s) is in your Shopping Basket.
Once an item has been added, it will take you to the Shopping Basket page where you can view what you just added, and either continue shopping or continue to the Checkout to complete your order and make payment.
The Shopping Basket page will list the current total value of your order, including any delivery charges.
Removing items from your Basket
To remove items from your Shopping Basket, go to the Shopping Basket Contents page by clicking the white 'Items in Basket' text on the top right side of the blue top bar menu.
When on the Shopping Basket page, click the small 'cross' box in the Remove column and then click 'OK' when the confirmation window appears. This will remove the item from your Shopping Basket.
You can also empty your basket entirely by clicking the middle green 'Empty Basket' button under the order totals.
The Checkout
Once you have checked and are happy with the items in your Shopping Basket, you can click on the green 'Start Checkout' button to proceed to the next step of the ordering process.
You will then be asked to either: Login to your Website Account with your e-mail address and password that you set up when you registered your account....or..... if you have not registered with this website before, Register a new Website Account.
Once you have registered or logged in you can continue with the Checkout process and select your Payment Method, and enter these details. Once you have done this, you will be taken to the secure Review Order Page where you can double check and complete your order.
Payment
All card payments are securely processed by HSBC, utilising the latest fraud protection for our customer's peace of mind.
Because of HSBC's advanced fraud detection measures, it is essential that the Billing Address you enter when placing your order (or when registering your account) is written exactly as it is written on your card statements. This is because HSBC use this address to make checks on your identity.
Once you have started the Checkout process, review your order details then click 'Complete Order' which will transfer you to HSBC's secure site to enter your card details. Once complete you will be returned to this site's confirmation page where you can view a receipt for your order.
Security
The entire checkout process for the Harpers Photographic website is held on a secure server using a GeoTrust Verified SSL (secure socket layer) system for transferring data. If you click on the small padlock symbol at the bottom of your browsers screen you will be taken to this sites security certificate. You can also click on the GeoTrust Site Seal button on the bottom of the page to view the Certificate's authenticity. If you have any concerns regarding the security of this site please contact us.
