Classic style, evolving functions

Since its release, the X-T1 has received multiple updates to its features and performance, all available for free via a firmware update

Operability improvements

Improved shutter speed dial operation

When the Shutter Speed Dial is set to T and the Shutter Type to Mechanical + Electronic, you can use the command dial to set a full range of exposure times from 30-1/32000sec. Previously, this was limited to 30-2 seconds. This means you can change the shutter speeds across a broader range without having to change camera position. This is particularly useful when shooting in the portrait orientation with the Vertical Battery Grip VG-XT1 attached.

A new choice, Classic Chrome

A sixth choice has been added to Film Simulation, which gives a unique luster and depth to photos; Classic Chrome. Classic Chrome was inspired by feedback and requests from X Series photographers and its look is inspired by printed images in magazines from the glory days of photo journalism, rather than a specific film type.
With slightly muted tones and deep color reproduction, it's a clear departure from the existing five types.

Rather than a pure record of the scene, Classic Chrome offers photographers a more expressive, and artistic look to their shots.

The Real Time Viewfinder revolution

The X-T1’s viewfinder provides a truly immersive shooting experience with its near-instant 0.005-sec lag time and 0.77x magnification ratio

NEW "Multi Mode Viewfinder"

The world's highest* viewfinder magnification ratio of 0.77x

With its high-resolution 2.36million dot OLED display, and the world's highest magnification ratio of 0.77x, the FUJIFILM X-T1's Real Time Viewfinder allows a true connection to your subject and a purely immersive shooting experience, achieving a wide angle of view of 31°.

The world's fastest** display

The display's lag time of just 0.005 seconds - less than a tenth of conventional cameras - means you'll immediately see any changes to your composition, keeping you in touch with whatever you're shooting.

Advanced X Trans II Sensor and EXR II Processor

World's fastest AF speed of 0.08 sec is achieved via the integration of phase detection pixels into the advanced sensor.

Lens Modulation Optimiser technology brings out the full potential of the XF lens.

The advanced Lens Modulation Optimiser (LMO) technology in the FUJIFILM X-T1 was made possible by the integrated development of the lens, sensor and processor. For each mounted lens, LMO high-precision processing of the lens focal length and aperture, as well as data from the screen centre to the edges, corrects diffraction blur when shooting with a stopped down aperture and compensates for the slight blurring in the lens periphery. The result is edge-to-edge image quality with incredible sharpness and a sense of dimensional reality.

Tough, weather-resistant design

Thanks to approx 80 points of weather sealing, the X-T1 is dust and water-resistant when paired with an X-mount weather resistant lens

Weather Resistant - dust-resistant, water-resistant and -10°C low-temperature operation.

The weather resistant structure is sealed in approximately 80 places and is both dust and water resistant. Additionally it is designed to cope in temperatures as low as -10°C allowing field photography without the typical worries about the weather, season or general shooting environment.

When used in conjunction with the XF18-135mm and Vertical Battery Grip VG-XT1, which have the same sealing structure as the camera body, the camera offers a reliable system for your field photography in damp conditions.

Enhanced wireless functions

The Free Camera Remote application allows the X-T1 to be controlled remotely with a smartphone or tablet

Focus with a Touch with the new smart application - FUJIFILM Camera Remote.

With the new dedicated "FUJIFILM Camera Remote" application, you can focus and trigger the camera release from your smartphone or tablet. The app not only lets you adjust focus, but also control settings like shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation and ISO sensitivity. You can even apply other settings like Film Simulation, self-timer, and flash while "Touch AF" lets you focus from your phone or tablet, too. Imagine all the situations where this smart assistant will come in handy! Take commemorative group photos with yourself in the shot, capture wildlife photos, or remotely release the shutter for night shots free from camera shake. The photographic possibilities are endless.

Share every moment via email and SNS with easy wireless transfer to your smartphone.

Use your smartphone to browse and transfer photos and movies from your camera.

Using your smartphone or smart tablet, you can view the images stored in your camera, and then select and transfer the ones you want.

Transfer up to 30 images at one time.

You can select and transfer up to 30 images at a time to your smartphone and to make them even easier to send and use on your device, you can copy them in their existing photo size or choose the "3M compressed image option".

Advanced shooting functions

Interval timer shooting, film simulation modes and a host of bracketing functions

Select from the eight different Advanced Filters, and with just one press of the shutter, you can create a photo with true artistic flair. Once a filter is selected, you can preview the effect on the LCD screen and adjust the aperture value, shutter speed and exposure compensation for optimum brightness.
